Finding my Purpose in Life  





Twelve years ago I had a wake up call, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. A few months prior I lost weight, suffered from abdominal bloating, weird bleeding and constantly craved sugars. I was sent from one specialist to another with no results. Months passed by to do the right test, meanwhile the cancer was advancing. After having surgery, they sent me to have chemo and radiation because the cancer stage was passing from stage one to two. I noticed my body was so weak from the treatments. I ended up in emergency many times because my immune system got almost destroyed, so I started learning nutrition right away to help my immune system.
I went back to the books, everyday I was searching and reading about health, nutrition and food, I read over 250 books, I did an extensive research on food properties, took classes on TCM, Ayurveda, Chinese Nutritional Therapy, learned to cook high-dense nutritional meals, and transformed my life, diet and lifestyle completely. I changed my life with a holistic approach to health and renewed my body into a healthy, happy body. I truly believe I healed myself by changing my diet and lifestyle. Holistic Nutrition has been my passion for the last twelve years. 

After cancer I decided to change my career. I went back to school to learn Holistic Nutrition, and became a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach to help people improve their health and nutrition. I'm also a Nutritional Chef with an emphasis on Chinese Nutritional Therapy and Ayurveda, I teach nutritional cooking and help my clients understand food at a deeper level, together I work with my clients to find the foods and lifestyle that suite their individual needs and goals.

I'm a graduate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and learned from the world’s top health and nutrition experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.

My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills, and my extensive research from my own experience as 12 year cancer survivor and nutritional chef combined with my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make food and lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
With my knowledge, we co-create completely personalized actions based on your goals to move you toward your ideal vision of health within your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and resources.
